Nutrifaster Commercial Juicer Review-Is it Worth the Price?

Nutrifaster Commercial JuicerYes, the Nutrifaster juicer price is high, but is it worth the price?  It’s definitely one of, if not the best industrial juicer on the market.  It makes totally pulp-free juice and is used in most juice bars as the commercial quality juicer of choice.

If you’re interested in opening a juice bar or adding fresh made fruit and vegetable juice to your restaurant or just want a heavy duty juicer for your family’s needs, the Nutrifaster n450 Commercial centrifugal juicer is the one you’ll want.

4.2 Stars (4.2 / 5)

If you have a large family and want to live a healthy lifestyle, this juicing machine will hold up to many years of regular use. The cost isn’t so much when you consider the money you could save by each member of your family living a healthy life with more nutrition and less illnesses.

Is This a Masticating or Centrifugal Juicer?

Nutrifaster N450 Multi Purpose JuicerNutrifaster N450 Multi Purpose JuicerThis is a centrifugal juicing machine, which may seem strange because of the price. Usually the masticating juicers are the more expensive ones because they retain more nutrients because of the slow “chewing and squishing” factor.

But the fact that this juicer is a commercial one and meant for fast juicing, the juice will normally be drank within 15 minutes or so of being made, which is the time frame in which you would get the most nutrients from a centrifugal juicer.

How Easy is the Nutrifaster to Clean?

As with most juicers, it really is fairly easy to clean. I know that’s the worst part of juicing, but it’s easy to disassemble and clean the:

  • juice pan
  • screen basket
  • cutter blade
  • top
  • and the food pusher

As with every juicer, be sure to scrub the screen thoroughly to get any lodged pulp out of the tiny holes. You can also put all the parts in the dishwasher except for the housing unit.

For commercial use, there are instructions in the manual on sanitizing the juicer at the beginning of each day and instructions for soaking the parts in a cleaning solution at the end of each day.

With this machine, it’s very important to keep the basket and cutter blade as clean and in as good shape as possible to prevent problems or even possibly damage to the machine.

How Big is the Nutrifaster Commercial Juicer?

The dimensions are 12 x 16 x 19 inches tall. As you’ll see in the video below, it is quite larger than what it looks like in the images. And with it weighing in around 61 lbs. you definitely don’t want to have to be moving it around every day if it’s in your home. You would need a place for it to permanently sit on your counter.

Plus, I find it much more motivating and encouraging to juice every day, sometimes multiple times a day if my juicer is sitting out on the counter. The motor runs on 1.25 hp at 3450 rpms.

What Kind of Blades Come With This Juicer?

There’s one stainless steel cutter plate blade that comes with the Nutrifaster juicer machine. It has 16 rows of cutting blades so be very careful when handling this plate. This main cutter is for fruits and vegetables although it can be used for leafy greens also.

They do have another blade – a shredder cutting blade that’s for use with leafy greens – that you can order separately here. The cutter plate can be resharpened and is recommended to be done every 2-4 months of commercial use.

Some signs of the cutter blade needing to be sharpened would be the pulp being too wet or needing to use more produce than normal to get the same yield and even finding it difficult to push the produce through the chute.

Will the Nutrifaster Commercial Juicer Overheat With Prolonged Use?

It does have an automatic shut-off valve if the motor starts overheating. There’s a reset button to push after it cools down, as it won’t reset on its own. However, this is a very heavy duty machine and it would probably take running it for more than 1/2 hr at a time to cause it to overheat.

It’s meant for heavy duty juicing, so the motor can handle large quantities of fruits and vegetables passing through it. In fact, you should push produce through rather quickly with this juicer. This helps with efficient extraction.

How Much Pulp Gets Into the Juice?

Actually, this is one of the most efficient at removing pulp, leaving the juice smooth and pulp free. Pulp is ejected through a plastic tube that can be directed behind the counter into a bucket or something below the counter.

With this feature you can do continuous juicing without stopping to clean out the pulp collector after every glassful.

The plastic pulp tube can also be cut down to size if you would rather have the pulp receptacle on the counter such as in a home environment.

What Kind of Warranty Does it Have?

It does only have a 1 yr limited warranty.

There Must Be Some Negative Aspects

There really are only a couple of negatives. To be truly efficient at juicing leafy greens and wheatgrass, you would probably need to purchase the shredder cutting blade.

Also, it is very heavy, being a commercial grade juicer, so would not be a good choice for a home where it would have to be moved around a lot.

Some Tips For Using This Nutrifaster n450 Juicer Extractor

With some juicers it’s recommended to bunch up leafy greens and push through the food chute. Not with this one. They recommend you put a few leaves in at a time and follow up with firmer vegetables. Otherwise it could stress the motor if you bunch them up.

With this juicer the best way to run citrus fruit through the chute is to cut the pieces slightly larger than the chute opening and squeeze them down through the chute, pressing firmly with the food plunger.

Citrus and tropical fruits should be peeled of their outer peelings, but leave the white underside of the citrus fruit, as it contains Vit. C and bioflavonoids. Some tropical fruit peelings may contain fertilizer chemicals if they come from other countries that don’t have the stringent laws against using them.

It’s best to end the juice making process with a firm piece of food, pushing it through fast and with some pressure. This will help get the most juice out and the most pulp extracted.

To Summarize

In all honesty, if I had the money, I’d be buying this commercial juicer machine today. But I don’t. I realize this is only one of many Nutrifaster juicer reviews, but hopefully someone reading this will    Check it Out on Amazon,   make a purchase and come back with comments on what they think of it.

It’s quiet, heavy duty, makes a high yield of juice free of pulp, will last many years with regular use, but you may need to get the shredder blade if you want to mostly juice leafy greens and wheatgrass.

The price is high, but is a good investment for a juice bar or restaurant or health club.

And if you just want an excellent juicer for your family, the price tag may be worth it if it keeps your family healthier and away from doctors – something to consider.

If you need to, you should be able to find most Nutrifaster n450 Commercial Juicer parts on Amazon.

Champion Juicer – Could it Be the One and Only True Masticating Juicer?

Champion JuicerWell, that’s what one person had to say in his review of the Champion Juicer on Amazon.  I’m not so sure that’s true, but the point was that he had used this juicer for many years and claimed it was the best masticating juicer he’d ever used.

It’s definitely a workhorse that will last through many years of constant use.  It’s run by a heavy duty General Electric  motor, GE being one of the foremost producers of top appliances and life-changing innovations for generations.

What Kind of Features Will You Find on the Champion?

It has:

  • a 1/3 HP 540 watt GE motor
  • a fairly large feed tube at 1 3/4 inches
  • a blank for making sorbets, baby food and even nut butters
  • a single horizontal cutter that runs at a high speed of 1725 rpms.  This is faster than most masticating juicers.single horizontal cutter

How Easy is it to Use?

Unlike a twin gear juicer, you don’t have to put your weight into pushing down the tamper.  It doesn’t self-feed, and you do have to use some pressure, but not anything that couldn’t be done by a child or an elderly person.  The high speed single cutter has cutting blade teeth on one end of the spinner and an auger on the other.

The food first goes through the cutting end of the blade, grinding it up for processing and compressing it so that the juice goes through the holes in the screen into the pitcher or bowl underneath.  The auger end pushes the pulp out the far end into another bowl, which as with other juicers, you can line with a plastic bag to catch the pulp and deposit it in your compost pile.

What is the Champion Juicer Made of?

Champion Juicer G5-PG710 - BLACK Commerical Heavy Duty JuicerChampion Juicer G5-PG710 – BLACK Commerical Heavy Duty JuicerUnlike the less expensive juicers, this one is made of Dupont nylon , which is like hard plastic but stronger and shouldn’t break or crack if dropped.

It comes in either black or white on Amazon, but if you take into consideration the staining potential of carrots and beets over time, you might want to invest in a black one that would hide the stains. It’s also possible to remove the stains with some bleach, if you’d prefer a white one.

The tempered stainless steel blades should never rust or separate.

Where is it Made?

Unlike most juicers that are made in China, as of this writing Champion is one of only two companies offering juicers made in America and all parts are FDA approved.

(The other company offering American made juicers is Nutrifaster.)

The first Champion Juicer came on the market in 1955, so this company has been around for a long time.

How Much Does it Cost?

As of this writing, it is selling on Amazon for less than $300.

What Kind of Warranty Does it Have?

Although it has a 10 yr. limited manufacturer’s warranty, it only has a 1 yr. warranty on the cutting blade and the screens.  There is a 3 yr. warranty on the motor and a 5 yr. warranty on the juicing parts.

That does seem a bit confusing, but you could always contact the company for clarification on that.  Champion Juicer phone # 866-935-8423

How Large is it?

It’s a heavy duty juicing machine, weighing in at about 20 lbs. so you probably will want to have enough counter space to keep it out all the time if you plan on juicing every day.  Otherwise, it’s pretty heavy to have to take out of a cupboard every day.

cThe dimensions are: 19 x 7.8 x 12 inches

Will it Juice Wheatgrass and Leafy Greens?

For a masticating juicer, the Champion does not do as well as you might expect with wheatgrass and other leafy greens.  There is a wheatgrass attachment but the reviews on that have not been good.  I don’t think I would invest in that.

You can still juice greens, but it is a fairly slow process and you might have to run the pulp through the machine 2 or 3 times.  So if greens and wheatgrass are your main preferences, you might want to try the Tribest Green Star Elite GSE-5000.

How About Assembly and Clean Up?

Assembling this juicer is very simple.  Everything just kind of snaps in place and is easy to remove for cleaning.  There are few parts to clean and should only take a few minutes.  Using a bottle brush helps clean the screens and the teeth on the cutter.

You can not put the vinyl juicer parts in the dishwasher.

Any Negative Aspects?

Like with all the juicers I have been reviewing, there seem to be good and bad products.  Some people report that they are getting a lot of foam from their juicing experience.  Some people actually like the foam, others don’t.  A simple way to remove the foam is to simply pour the juice through the included sieve once you’re done juicing.  Others reported very little foam.

As stated before, it doesn’t do very well with wheatgrass. Other stringy produce such as celery.  It’s best to run celery through at the end so the strands aren’t clogging things up while you add other ingredients.

There were reports of wet pulp and having to run carrot pulp back through the juicer to get more juice.  Others say their pulp is very dry.

I think there are factors involved that may include anything from a manufacturer defect to simply not cleaning the screen completely, which could result in more pulp getting in the juice, which was another complaint.

A Couple of Tips

Don’t put too much produce in at a time – just do continuous processing of the fruit and veggies, to keep it from clogging up.

Before each use, rub a small amount of coconut oil or olive oil on the gear shaft to keep it from sticking to the blades.

The cutter blades are sharp.  Don’t run your fingers across them when cleaning.  Use a brush.

To Summarize

This is a top of the line juicer that I would recommend to anyone wanting to mainly juice fruits and vegetables, along with making sorbets, sherbets or nut butter.

I wouldn’t recommend it to someone wanting to do a lot of wheatgrass juicing or leafy green juicing, although it’s possible to use this juicer for those purposes.  For wheatgrass juicing I would recommend a regular wheatgrass juicer.

I think the price is reasonable for all the extra uses besides just juicing.

Be sure to read the instructions carefully about greasing the gear shaft and cleaning the screens in particular.  I strongly believe that problems occurring with this juicer are either factory defects or user mistakes such as not fitting something together right or over-filling the produce chute or not getting the screen clean enough.

Overall, it’s a well-built, long-lasting juicer that should meet most juicing needs.

Want Fresh Orange Juice? Check Out This Citrus Juicer

Hamilton Beach 96700 Commercial JuicerIf you’re thinking of starting up a juice bar or small cafe, or maybe you already own a small deli or restaurant business and would like to sell freshly made citrus juice, you’ll want to check out the Hamilton Beach 96700 Commercial Electric Juicer.

It measures 10 1/4″ by 10″ by 18.5″ high. Weighing in at about 28 pounds, it’s very stable on any surface because of its low center of gravity.  It looks smaller in the picture than it really is, but because of its vertical build, it doesn’t take up much counter space.

4.8 Stars (4.8 / 5)

With three different sized reamers, you can quickly juice lemons and limes with the small reamer, oranges with the medium-sized reamer, and large grapefruit with the large one.  Although the reamers themselves are hard plastic, they have a stainless steel insert that should keep them going strong for a long time, even with heavy usage.

The 3 amp motor is quiet so even if you wanted this juicer for your home, you would be able to operate it without bothering anyone else in the house.

This juicer only has one speed, which is pretty darn fast.  The reamer spins quickly and after cutting the fruit in half, you simply hold it firmly over the reamer, pressing down to get the most juice you could possibly get from a fruit.

You do need to be careful not to let your fingers come into contact with the reamer and it’s probably a good idea to not let small children use this juicer for obvious reasons.  I haven’t heard of anyone actually doing any damage to their fingers or hands from the reamers, but of course it would hurt.  So it’s just something to be aware of.

This Hamilton Beach Juicer is really a nice looking juicer to have sitting out on your counter or in a juice bar.  It has a cast aluminum housing with an acid resistant dark blue finish.  The strainer is made of polyacetal copolymer, a synthetic polymer used in precision parts.

One nice feature is the curved out space for just about any type of glass, pitcher or bottle you would want to put under it to catch the juice.  There’s an 8 1/2 inch clearance from the counter to the pour spout.  A lot of juicers only have a small space for a specific sized glass or pitcher, which limits your juicing capabilities.  So this is a plus for this model.

Another little feature that most other juicers don’t have is a covered ON/Off switch.  This helps keep juice or sticky fingers from causing the switch to become sticky with use.  Without the seal, moisture or other matter could get into the switch area.  This cover is easy to wipe clean and will keep the switch working perfectly over time.

How Much Does it Cost?

The price at Amazon seems reasonable to me, especially if you want to purchase it for commercial reasons.  Having freshly made orange or grapefruit juice with breakfast is always better than store bought and would be great to put on a menu.

How Easy is it To Clean?

There are only a few parts to disassemble, so clean-up is quick and easy.  And with the acid-resistant finish on the base, there shouldn’t be any discoloration or damage done by the acid in the citrus fruit you use.  You can simply wipe the housing off with a damp cloth.  The other parts – the reamer, strainer, bowl and cover – can all be washed in warm water or put in a dishwasher.

The stainless steel pour spout is also easy to clean.

What Kind of Warranty is On This Model?

There is a limited 2 year warranty on this juicer for parts and labor.

What Kind of Quantity Can This Hamilton Beach Electric Citrus Juicer Handle?

The pulp strainer on this juice machine is rather large and will hold quite a bit of pulp before needing to empty it, so you can juice several oranges one after the other.  The strainer is pretty good at keeping the pulp out of the juice, but there may be a small amount that still gets through and possibly even small seeds such as from lemons.

If you want completely pulp-free juice, you may have to strain it through a nut milk bag strainer
or a stainless steel conical strainer.

Some Cons to Consider Before Buying

One thing I already mentioned is the fact that you do have to be careful not to let your fingers come into contact with the fast-spinning reamer while juicing.  Because of this, it may not be suitable for children to operate, whereas some other juicers are perfectly safe for children to use under adult supervision.

Naval oranges seem to have an abundance of pulp so you may have to unclog/empty the strainer more frequently when juicing a lot of these oranges.

There is only the one speed, which is full throttle, which actually may be a little too much power for the occasional home fruit juice drinker.  However, this con for the home user is more of a plus for the cafe or juice bar owner because of being able to quickly fill several glasses in a short time.

What Are a Couple of Tips to Using This Juicing Machine?

  • Don’t put too much pressure on the fruit when reaming – this could cause the motor to overheat.
  • Make sure the unit is turned on before putting fruit on the reamer.  The motor needs to be running at full speed before putting pressure on it or it could damage the unit.  Also, if you were holding a piece of fruit on the reamer and then turned on the power, it might even jolt the fruit right out of your hand.

Summary of the Hamilton Beach 96700 Commercial Electric Juicer

If I simply wanted a citrus juicer or if I had a juice bar, this would be one juicer I would purchase.  With the potentially high yield of juice you can get, the sturdiness and longevity of the unit, and the ease and speed of extracting the nutrition filled juice, plus the sleek look of this juicer, there just aren’t enough negative aspects to outweigh these benefits.

Yes, you may need to strain it an extra time if you want totally pulp free juice, but that wouldn’t take long to do.

This juicer is made in China.

Super Angel Twin Gear Juicer Review – Is it the Best Juicer?

Super Angel All Stainless Steel Twin Gear Juicer- 5500The most efficient way to get the very most juice and therefore the most nutrients, minerals, enzymes, vitamins, etc. from your juicing experience is to use the twin gear juicing technology.  That is what the Super Angel Stainless Steel Twin Gear Juicer is all about and why it’s one of the best juicers on the market.

4.5 Stars (4.5 / 5)

How Does This Twin Gear Technology Work?

The twin gears in this unit rotate at 82 rpm with 3HP of grinding force, crushing cellulose fibers  in order to get the very most nutritional value out of every piece of produce.  These 2 gears are totally stainless steel, interlocking to get the perfect crushing ability, along with being FDA approved for high quality.twin gears

The fruit and vegetables go through a 3 step process to crush and filter out the most juice possible.

The low rpms, which are the lowest of all the twin gear juicers, keeps the juice at the most minimal oxidation possible, therefore keeping intact the nutritional qualities.

These gears are made of high quality antibacterial stainless steel SUS-304(18-8).
This means there are no plastic parts that might snap off during use.

The cellulose fibers within fruits and vegetables contain much of the nutrients and enzymes we expect to get from juicing.  The 3HP twin gears slowly yet powerfully crush those fibers to a pulp, extracting the most nutrients and juice of any juicer.

Normally it’s a good idea to use only organic fruit and vegetables for juicing or eating, but this twin gear juicer will actually keep most of the chemicals and heavy metals, possibly up to 90%, out of your juice through the process of crushing the produce, sending the juice to one container and the pulp to another.  The chemicals are in the outer peeling and the pulp of produce and as the juice is squeezed and sent through the fine filtering system, the pulp with its chemicals gets left behind.  It can then be easily disposed of.  If it’s organic produce, the pulp can be used in salads, muffins or as compost.

Is This Juicer As Loud As Others?

Because of the unique cooling system within this juicer, there is less strain on the motor, allowing it to run fairly quietly.  Of course anything with a motor is going to make some noise.  It just can’t be helped, but at least it will be quiet enough to run in the morning as with the Cuisinart CJE if you’re an early riser,  and others are still sleeping, depending of course on how light a sleeper they are.

Can it Juice Wheatgrass and Other Leafy Greens?

Yes, most definitely. Wheatgrass is full of nutrients and will juice well in the Angel juicing machine.  It can juice nearly anything, including pine needles.  Pine needles have a lot of nutrition in them, but juicing them is probably not the easiest way to access those good qualities. It takes a lot of needles to get a little juice and could put too much unnecessary stress on the juicer.  Instead, you might consider making a pine needle tea.

The Super Angel can also make nut butters, tofu and sorbets from frozen fruit.

Will the Angel Juicer Overheat if Used Too Long in One Sitting?

There is an internal thermostat on this machine that automatically senses when it’s getting too hot and it will shut it down to prevent overheating.  First there will be a beep, then the motor will shut down and the indicator light will start blinking.  The cooling fan will then cool down the system, which could take several minutes during which time the motor will not run.

Once it cools, there will be another beep and the indicator light will light up again without blinking.

The user’s manual suggests resting the juicer for 10 minutes for every half hour of use to further reduce the chance of overheating.

One suggestion with this twin gear juicer that is different from most other juicers is to let the fan run for about 20 minutes after you’re finished juicing to make sure the system is cooled down.  Just leave the main switch on during this time.  This will help prolong the life of the Super Angel juicing machine.

What if the Food Gets Jammed in the Juicer?

Produce can get jammed in nearly every juicer and this one is no different.  However, with the ability to reverse the gears, it’s easy to unclog the jam and continue on.  One way to keep food from getting jammed in the first place is to only put very small portions of fruit or vegetables in the juicer at a time and wait for them to get crushed before putting more in.

If you do need to reverse the motor, it’s necessary to hit the “Stop” button first, then “Reverse”.  Then hit the “Stop” button again before hitting the “Start” button once more.

Is it Difficult To Clean?

This is a fairly easy juicer to clean because there are only about 4 parts that need cleaning.  As usual, if cleaned right away, it is much easier than setting it aside and cleaning up later. Probably the most difficult part is the screen because the holes are so tiny it might not be obvious that some of them might be clogged.  It’s easy to tell if held up to a light.  Any clogging of the holes will reduce the amount of juice coming through the filter so it’s important to keep all of the holes unclogged.

One way to unclog filter holes is to let the filter screen sit in a mixture of 2 parts baking soda to 2 parts water overnight.  This will make it easy to clean with a brush.  Just be sure not to soak the sensor.

How Much Does the Super Angel Cost?

This is definitely one of the higher priced juicers as you can see here, but it’s also one that can be used commercially as in a deli or juice bar.  I’m actually surprised there aren’t more juice bars around such as there are espresso shops on nearly every corner.  Fresh juice is so much better for us than coffee, yet we’ll spend up to $5 or more on one cup of sweetened coffee, hoping that caffeine kick will get us through the day.  If only we could convince people that a cup of freshly made juice is more apt to give them the energy to get through the day plus it’s so much better for us all.

What Kind of Warranty Does it Have?

There is a 10 yr warranty on nearly all of the parts, with a 5 yr. warranty for wear and tear on the extracting screen housing.  And there is no warranty on the pulp or juice collectors, the food pusher, the fuse or the cleaning brush.

What Are Some of the Negative Aspects?

  • You have to cut the produce into small pieces to fit in the chute and so that the twin gears can slowly crush the juice out.  It does take a little longer than a centrifugal juicer, but it’s also much more efficient.  You just have to have patience and set aside the appropriate amount of time.
  • There are no handles on this juicer, so it might be best to leave it sitting in one place if you have the space on the counter.  It ways about 21 lbs. so it’s not too convenient to move around.  It’s about 10.5 inches tall and almost 20 inches long.
  • Trying to juice soft fruit such as pears or grapes can be trying because mushy food tends to clog the holes in the filter, which in turn can cause juice to back up into the feeding chute.  In order to juice these soft fruits, feed only a small portion through the food chute at a time. If the screen still gets clogged, use the “Reverse” button to clear it or you may have to manually clean out the filter screen.  It’s also best to use the food pusher with the silicone o-ring to prevent splashing.

You can also add in something firmer like a carrot in between soft foods to help prevent clogging.

  • When juicing carrots, you can’t put a lot in at a time, nor press too hard on them.  It’s best to slice fatter carrots lengthwise and only put one in at a time until it’s crushed up.  It’s kind of a matter of trial and error with carrots to see what works best.

In summary, whether you’re juicing fruits and vegetables or wheatgrass and leafy greens, this is a great juicer for someone very dedicated to living a healthier lifestyle.  It is expensive and probably not for someone just starting out.  With proper care it should last several years.  And it would be a great investment for anyone starting a small juice bar business.

Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer Review

Looking For a Manual Citrus Juicer?

Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus JuicerIf you’re looking for a heavy duty juicer just for citrus fruits, namely oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits, you might consider the manual Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer.  Having a nice fresh glass of orange juice in the morning is not only good for your taste buds, but it’s full of vitamin C to help keep you healthy throughout the day.

I know it’s a lot easier to grab a carton of  orange juice out of the frig, but you’re not going to get all the benefits that you’ll get from freshly squeezed juice.
4.7 Stars (4.7 / 5)

Most juices have to go through a pasteurization process before they hit the shelves.  This means they get heated up to a temperature hot enough to kill off harmful bacteria.  This process also kills off some of the nutrients that our bodies can really benefit from.

When we make our own juice and drink it within a short time after extraction, it doesn’t need to be pasteurized because it isn’t going to sit around growing bacteria and we get all the important nutrients and vitamins.

So, that’s where the Hamilton Beach Citrus Juicer comes in.  You can easily make any combination of citrus juices relatively quickly and effortlessly due to the rack and pinion gearing system.

This basically means that there are 2 gears – a small circular one (the rack) that engages the teeth of the longer straight or linear gear (the pinion), turning the rotational motion into a linear motion, allowing much more pressure, in fact 2000 lbs of pressure, to be applied by the pressure cup, thereby extracting the most juice possible with the least effort exerted.  You simply turn the handle and the juice extractor does the rest.

You can get more detailed information about the workings of a rack and pinion gearing system here.

How Big is It?

This citrus juicer measures 7 by 9 by 19-1/2 inches and weighs about 11 lbs. so it takes up very little space on your counter as far as width and depth, but it is tall.  You would want to take that into consideration if you have low hanging cupboards.

How Easy Is It To Clean?

It’s very easy to clean, as all the parts come off and can be rinsed in the sink.  The only thing you’ll have to unscrew to clean is the pressure cup head. The parts are made of heavy-duty metal with the finishes being acid-resistant chrome and enamel so the acid from the citrus fruits won’t stain the juicer.

What Are Some Features Not Already Mentioned?

  • Sure Grip non-skid base – keeps it from sliding around while you’re juicing and protects the counter top
  • Drip cup that swings out
  • Strainer cone that is easy to remove for cleaning and catches the pulp, peel and pith

What Kind of Price Are We Looking At Here?

Whereas some electric juicers are less expensive and will basically do the same thing, I think the main reason why this citrus juicer is priced a little higher is that it’s a commercial size juicer, so you could actually use it in a juice bar or cafe or small business where you can sell freshly squeezed orange juice.

Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer, BlackHamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer, BlackBuy Now at Amazon

Does it Have a Warranty?

Yes, but only for 1 year for parts and labor.

Any Concerns With This Juicer?

As I was reading through reviews for the Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer, I noticed there was some concern that the part of the juicer that extracts the juice or the pressure cup, which actually only comes in contact with the skin of the fruit, might be made of aluminum.

However, Hamilton Beach has stated that the extractor cone is made of stainless steel and the pressure cup is made of die-cast zinc with chrome and enamel coatings.  So there is no aluminum that comes into contact with the produce.

In doing my research of this product I couldn’t find any other negative points that might keep you from acquiring one of these manual juicing machines.

Is There a Place To Get Parts if Needed?

Yes, the link to find parts is here.

To Summarize:

The Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer is a quiet (because it’s manual), strong, easy to use citrus juicer that can not only be used as a home juicer, but could also be used in a juice bar to produce delicious fresh juice from citrus fruits.

It acts like a masticating juicer in that it mashes and squeezes the juice out rather than spinning it out at high rpms.

It’s a little spendy but seems to last a very long time.  I think this would be a great juicer for someone only wanting to make citrus juice.

One thing to remember, though, is that oranges do have a lot of calories in them.  So if you’re wanting to do some juicing to help lose weight, you might want to look at something that will give you more vegetable juice than fruit juice, like possibly the Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer or the Hurom Premium Masticating Slow Juicer.
